Yay! Jacqueline and Doug are married!!! I met them a little over a year before their big day during a bridal show and was super excited for their wedding. It was a gorgeous day outside at The Tradewinds in St. Pete, FL. Jacqueline had the most details I have seen at a wedding... So many fun things to photograph! I had a lot of fun being a part of their big day, such a great couple... Oh and did I mention they had lots of country music at the reception... YAY!

I feel so blessed when I receive a thank you from a bride/groom/family, etc. It just reminds me that I had the chance to preserve a moment in time for not just one person, but entire families and generations to come! My mom taught me beginning at 4 years old with her camera to watch for emotions not poses... and if you are going to strike a pose make sure its stylin! This year for Thanksgiving I am thankful for my mom, my family, and the honor of having this job. Thank you for all those I share my time with. Here are some thank you letters I received this week:

April & Nathan's Engagement Shoot

Aww I love when the fluffy friends come with to the photo shoots! April and Nathan are getting married this May, so we set out in Hyde Park to photograph some festive shots for their engagement session. Their babies came along for the first part and then we set off for some shots with Nathan's favorite car and some adventures in the park. Here are a few of my favorite pics! Enjoy!

I had the pleasure of capturing Susan & Jay's wedding on November 1st. The beautiful Vinoy was the location for their ceremony and reception! Although the ceremony received a good down pour, the wedding was still GORGEOUS! Susan and Jay are a great couple, I had a great time capturing their love, but I already knew they would be photogenic after our fun engagement session in Ybor!

Yesterday, November 8th, 2008 I had the pleasure of photographing Stacey & Brad's wedding at the Pass a Grille Church in St. Pete and Reception at The Mahaffey Theatre! Stacey, Brad, along with friends and family were some of the most sincere people ever... and definitely a very exciting wedding to photograph! Donna & Louie were married October 18th, 2008 at the beautiful Davis Island Garden Club in Tampa, FL. We beat the rain once again for a beautiful outdoor ceremony river side. Donna looked so radiant in her vintage style gown and accessories and the Louie looked quite spiffy himself! I took their engagement pics one year ago at Fort Desoto Beach, and now here we are!

Travis Curry, an amazing choreography and dear friend, asked me to create a little portrait session with his dancers. It was fun, squeezing in this tight space... and of course super fun getting creative! So our end result is what I would fondly like to call "Trash the Tutu.." and a few of Trav also!

So this weekend we had double weddings... Once in awhile this happens, but these two were beyond fun! Saturday I shot Susan's engagement session, then scattered off to Long Boat Key with Zach to photograph Genna and Chris at the beach... It was beautiful and breezy out. They threw quite the party! The next morning I drove off to St. Pete at the Tradewinds to capture the elegant wedding of Janine and Troy, they were so sweet! Here is a little preview from my camera!

Downtown St. Pete Amy, Griffin, and I strolled the streets looking for the perfect spots. We had to keep moving the day because of the constant FL rain, but finally as you can see the perfect blue sky came back out! The scenery AND the couple were both gorgeous :). Ok, sooo as with any job you sometimes do the same thing alot. SO when Dana said she wanted to do an urban photo shoot, I got a little giddy! Sure, love the beach and all... but this was fun! Congrats to Emily & Nick who were married this June in beautiful Sarasota. I am writing this little side note for all the brides looking into Just Peachy & those who have up and coming weddings booked :). Emily & Nick were a wonderful couple for a photojournalist to work with because, well, they were very relaxed. Even if you are not a relaxed bride thats A ok :)... but please remember that you hired us to document your day. This is how Just Peachy has qualified for the awards received and the associations belonged too. Photojournalism requires clients to understand that we will unobtrusively cover the things that are REALLY happening during your day. We will not ask you to re do or make things up. Even during our portrait sessions we do lifestyle art which alot of times you are asked to simply "kiss," "talk," or "just be yourselves..." Emily & Nick were very trusting with their photography and it was wonderful to work around, we waited for the sunset and travelled around the beautiful estate. Although photojournalism does not allow detail photography unless it is "found that way" I do incorporate the details through fine art for all of my brides, which is a creative outlet for all the special details of your wedding day! All brides also receive an interest form to make sure they get the family portraits they would like as keepsakes. I look so forward to the summer weddings and those coming up in the fall! The new studio is now open downtown so come by for a consult or just stop in to say hi :). Unedited... The actual sunset! AMAZING!

It was really exciting to be a part of Melina & Keith's big day. It was my first Greek wedding and I loved their traditions, so great to photograph too of course! This was quite an adventure for engagement photos... I had not been out to Brooksville before, but it made me feel like I was back home in Michigan :), especially with the football stadium! We did the football because Mike is a coach at the high school, then we traveled to his parents for a little boat ride out to an island, with picnic in hand! Here are some of my faves, I had a lot! Beth was afraid of sharks haha, but the water made for great photos!

So Rachel and Timothy were married recently, March 29th 2008... Rachel wins hands down for the most excited bride award :). She was giddy the whole day and night, beaming down the isle! Their wedding was SO beautiful, I see a lot of beach weddings, but they had a very unique vibe with in every detail. Their love for each other was the best part of the whole evening! How did he propose? We were heading to Lansing to have Mother's Day brunch with my family and we stopped off at a mall on the way. We went into a diamond store to look at rings and try some on. We didn't buy anything and continued shopping. Andrew walked away from me because he said he wanted to make a call. He actually went into the diamond store and bought my engagement ring! When we were done shopping, we drove away. Once we got about a mile away from the mall, he pulled his jeep over and proposed. He wanted to wait until the brunch, but he got too excited and couldn't wait any longer! My family was ecstatic to hear the news.
